My late brother-in-law played rugby for the University of California at
Berkeley around 1950.
Many members of the California University System, i.e., San Diego State, Cal
Polytechnic, etc. still have teams and are in a West Coast Collegiate league.
An old saying used to be: “Give blood. Play rugby!"
