David,
Thanks, now I see why the TV series was named “Monarch of the Glen.”

I'm not a hunter ... at least, not with a gun. I much prefer my camera.
But, that sometimes leaves me ignorant of my "prey".
I had always thought that an elk (wapiti) with a huge hat-rack was called a
"Royal".
But, now I learn that a hat-rack with with six or more points on each side is
a "Royal", often described as being a "6x6" or "Six by six".
One with 7 per side is an "Imperial" and one with 8 is a "Monarch".
Who knew?
Royals, are few and far between... Imperials & Monarchs are even rarer. Just
ask any hunter.
So I was pleased to catch an Imperial on the way to Alberta, two weeks ago.
He was, indeed, a handsome boy!

C&C welcomed, as always.
