Wow! At that precipitous rate of depreciation I might be able to afford one in 24-36 months, but even then I probably wouldn't absent a signifigant personal windfall. There are lovely reasons to want, even lust for one, but I like to indulge my sports & telephoto shooting with an slr and the S2 just doesn't have the fps I desire nor the fast af I lust for nor thepremium long af lenses I desire. Yet, it is still such an epic temptation. Please-Keep us informed on developments in this area if you don't mind, Richard innMichigan _____________________________________ My dog is now 0-43,286 lifetime in catching squirrels. _____________________________________ On Jul 1, 2013, at 5:30 PM, George Lottermoser <imagist3@xxxxxxx> wrote: > Apparently we can now pickup a "used" Leica S2 > for less than $10K. > > Kind of amazing given some of the adapters available. > > I'm sort of shocked that they've fallen this far this fast. > And I'd think not good for. > > M9 still calling for $4K - down from an original $7 > S2 calling for as little as $9K - down from $22K > > Of course there's also other "medium format" backs > also selling for well under half of their release cost. > > Crazy markets. > > Regards, > George Lottermoser > george@xxxxxxxxxxx > http://www.imagist.com > http://www.imagist.com/blog > http://www.linkedin.com/in/imagist > > > > > > ------ > Unsubscribe or change to/from Digest Mode at: > http://www.lrflex.furnfeather.net/ > Archives are at: > //www.freelists.org/archives/leicareflex/
