This phenomenon was featured in the May 22nd post of Nikon, Learn and Explore. 
It happened
in N.YC. on may the 30th.(full sun). It is called Manhattenhenge a termed 
coined by astrophysicist 
Neil dsGrasse Tyson. It also occurrs in other cities like Toronto, Montreal, 
Boston, St. Louis etc.
Your Iphone shot is as good as the photos done with Nikon equipment. Best to
