G'Mornin' Xavier!
Hand holding Panasonic's 100~400 Leica DG Vario-Elmar is not as difficult as it
might seem... the relatively short body (even when fully extended), it's light
weight and the in-lens IS really help. But, when your shutter speed is low, or
you have to crop much of the image away, as with the Starling, the results are
still a bit "soft".
If you can keep the shutter speed up, and fill the frame with your subject, it
can be a marvelous lens!
But sometimes, as with the Starling having his bath, the results just have to
be shared.
Here is a slightly better shot, also hand--held, but w/ISO 640 & a faster,
1/400 shutter speed.

Still not "up to snuff", as about only 1/3 of the image is used.
But, it was fun, experimenting, and both would have been better on monopod.
Thanks for looking & commenting.
David.
