Wow. go away for 5 weeks and this place turns into a zoo. About 300 messages to read. Anyway, if the lights were incandescent, I doubt very much that a camera would pick up the "cycling" of these bulbs. On the otherhand, if they are flourescent or vapor lamps, perhaps. Never really seen it, but I suppose it is possible. Aram, soon to post a few I hope. > Date: Sat, 17 Apr 2010 20:18:11 -0700 > From: ilovaussiesheps@xxxxxxxxx > Subject: [LRflex] Shooting Under Stadium Lights > To: LeicaReflex@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > > Query: > I was shooting at a minor league baseball stadium Monday night and at the end > of the game, when the night was fully upon things and the only light was from > 'stadium lights', I would shoot 6 or 7 frame sequences and the color balance > is different and 'exposure' would be off about 1/2 stop under exposed in a > few of the frames. > Could I be catching the 'cycling' of the incandescence of the bulbs? > or > Should I look for an issue with my camera's shutter being inaccurate? > The exposures were at 1/250th at f2.8 with iso3200 at this point.
