In Bull riding, the young men (and a few women), are called "Juniors" and ride steers. The older men (I've yet to see a woman get to the "Senior" level, although there is no rule to stop them) ride Bulls. The other difference is that juniors can use two hands, to hold on. Seniors are only allowed one hand. The trick is to hold on, for a full 8 second ride. Now 8 seconds may not sound like a lot, but for many a rider, it's an eternity. In fact, last Saturday, they had 17 riders, 7 juniors and 10 seniors, and only two "qualified" rides. All the rest were tossed to the ground, before their 8 seconds were up. Like I said, the trick is to hold on. Ever wonder just how they do that? Here, a young lady shows us how it's done.... http://www.furnfeather.net/Temps/Ashcroft_2.html C&C welcomed, as always. -- David Young - Photographer Logan Lake, CANADA Wildlife: www.furnfeather.net Personal: www.main.furnfeather.net A micro-lender through www.Kiva.org. ------ Unsubscribe or change to/from Digest Mode at: http://www.lrflex.furnfeather.net/ Archives are at: //www.freelists.org/archives/leicareflex/
