Dear friends,
Continuing our sharing of memories of Paris, my first visit was in the summer
of 1949, on my first US Navy Midshipman Cruise.
I had my Kodak 620 Valiant with me and made photos of Paris and shipboard
activities aboard my ship, USS Missouri (BB-63), on whose deck the surrender
ceremony that ended the Second World War took place on September 2, 1945.

On the Place in front of the Cathedral you can see many of my shipmates in our
blue uniforms with white hats, on an organized tour of the city.
