[LRflex] One more Canon adaptor question.

Does anybody know if the focus confirmation chipped adapters work with a
Rebel XTi (400D I think?) My wife just bought me a Rebel XTi for my
retirement(33 years)/Birthday(57 years) present. She knew I had been
playing around with some Canon cameras because of the ability to adapt Leica
glass. I even bought an adaptor a few years ago to play with the school's
old Rebel and to play in camear stores when they would let me. Well, I am
finding the XTi able to take nice photos in the two days I have had it, but
I can't focus worth beans with my Leica glass.
So, do I invest in a focus confirmantion adapter or do I just muddle through
and get a few canon lenses until I see what Leica is up to? Or do I just
scrap the whole bundle because I will never be able to afford the Leica R10?
Ok, I am really only after the answer to the original question of does the
XTi allow focus confirmation with the chipped adapter.
