Glad you all were able to see the picture once David vanquished Phazebuch's Evil Marketing.  Thanks, David!  No, Katya doesn't play, but she loves to listen.

Peter, this bassoon player avoids the percussion. We usually hang out with other wind players. Especially oboists, since we understand each other's problems. Personally, I also like viola players, since neither of us get any respect, but we often know more about music than the soloist types.

Bernstein was probably the greatest music teacher for the masses ever.  I remember his televised "Young People's Concerts" well.

Oh, and semi-on-topic:   I spotted one of the female musicians taking pictures at "happy hour" with a Leica M10 and 35 Summilux Asph FLE. I told her she had excellent taste in cameras.  She told me her husband gave it for her for Christmas. I told her she had a very nice husband.
