[LRflex] OT: Canon Lens Review

Hello Group,
been quiet on the list a bit lately, but I bumped into a Lens Review I
wanted
to pass along. I was on the CanonRumors website this evening and the fellow who
runs it posted his 'User Review' of a recently announced Canon EOS L Series
70-300mm Zoom Lens. I highly reccomend giving it a look-see - even if you're
not
an EOS Shooter.
He used it on a Photo Safari to Kenya and got some very very nice images that
are worth a look all by themselves. His take on the lens itself is from a real
world user perspective, is nicely written in my view and he avoids the pitfalls
of being 'just another' one of those jargon filled, technical measurements, and
meaningless test score comparing, piles of fecal noise so often encountered on
the internet. (Not to put to fine a point on it.)

Note: the fellow also wrote an equally nice 'review' of the Leica M9 not to
long
ago which I liked a lot, as well.
