Steve,

When I look at these pictures I see fascinating images, of a time and space unknown to me, beautifully captured, mysterious and ethereal.

They are of people in another world.

My mind wanders to the years of research and thought that led to the capability of these doctors to conceptualize what would be helpful to their patient.

Then my mind turns to the work that went into developing the procedures, mechanisms, and techniques that enable them to execute their conceptualization, hundreds if not thousands of additional hours.

Question after question come up about what is going on... with no answers... as it should be.

I begin to fantasize what I might say to the men in the pictures... but our worlds are so different that nothing comes up. I am mute in their presence.

My own life tells me that there must have been an enormous amount of work done to enable what we are seeing, and I for one am grateful for it, and for the work that is now in progress.

You can tell, I know, that I see your pictures with both sides of my old brain.

Thank you for sharing them with us.

All the best,

Bill
