Bathroom done, Fireplace done. Now new carpet. We are nearing the
completion of the prep work for the new carpet which is suppose to be here
yesterday, but somehow ended up 300 miles away in Coeur d’Alene Idaho. It is
now suppose to be overnighted to Yakima in time for our Thursday installation
appointment. Margie still will not let me crawl around on my new knee to cut
the old carpet, but I do get to carry it to the truck. My job will be
removing the pad staples tomorrow with the floor scraper. we have most of
the furniture out and will move out to our small RV van tomorrow for a few
days and let the carpet outgas a bit before we move back in the house. It
has been so mild the last two months we are surprised to hear on Friday the
temps are to get into the teens and barely above freezing during the day for
a few days. We will be using the down comforter, I can see. At least we can
come in and have a hot shower indoors.
So, the end it in sight. My back will breathe a sigh of relief and maybe I
can stop taking Aleve.
