Congratulations!! So pleased the surgery went well. :-) You will find the water fine - I don't doubt - and the 80-mm Summilux on the D700 where ISO 6400 produces black like velvet - well, you will be able to go dark places and take bright pictures that only a few years ago could only be dreamt of! I am really looking forward to seeing your photos!

Subject: [LRflex] leitax conversion...

With the help of Howard Cummer and David Llado I did my first
conversion of an R Summilux 80mm/1.4  3 cam by leitax adapter for use
on a Nikon D700 body...

the first limited test shots look technically excellent...

The conversion went well, though at one point the removal of the three
very tiny black shroud screws had me in fits, as I could barely see
the screw heads...that btw was the toughest part, it was just slow,
careful work, requiring  plenty of patience...and not giving up.
