Marc, Ah, a "fine place" indeed, and in a portion of the Atlantic to which I have never been, though I once transited the Azores, much farther northwest, in a ship, and have some appreciation of what the Canaries must be like, appearing on the horizon as specks to the lookouts and coming slowly into view. Arriving by airplane? A completely different experience! Some day I may stop off at the Canaries on my way to somewhere just to see what it is like. I thank you very much for the views of the atmospherics you find there and those you have shared from elsewhere. I was born and raised on the west coast of Florida with all the daily tropical weather changes occasioned by the sea breezes and land breezes that came and went as the sun rose and set and the land warmed and cooled, like clockwork. For that reason I suppose that I am sensitive to clouds. Thunderstorms moved across our home almost every day in the late afternoon, bringing welcome down drafts of cold air and lightning and thunder, which caused our dog Charlie to howl and sent our two cats into hiding under beds. Lightning was ever present as it coursed in and out of and inside our home, a fact which some people simply do not believe can happen, but it does. Thank you for sharing your insular adventures with sea, sand and sun (and the occasional palm) with us continental terrestrials. You have a blissful eye. I send my best wishes for a Happy New Year to you and yours, Bill On Dec 29, 2012, at 1:30 PM, Marc Dufour <foto@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > > http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Marc/La+Gomera/ > > A fine place to rest... > > All the best, > > Marc > > http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Marc/ > > http://gallery.lfi-online.de/gallery/index.php?cat=10201 > > http://www.flickr.com/photos/marcdufourbardon/ > >
