Hi David, it appears that Dr Ted's advice was spot on! Even though it lacks the tilting bikes and such, the image appears much 'brighter' to me visually and carrys more of a visceral impact because of this. If I understand Dr Ted's advice properly, shooting from the shadow side helped to give a backlighting effect to the ice spray and this effect really rocks. I'll try to remember this gem of a tip in the future. Richard ________________________________ Be Nice To Your Children! I'll bet you're all tired of Ice Racing photos, by now.... But, while I have enjoyed the photographic opportunities, Rose has become an addict to the sport! So, we went, again, this past Sunday. Each day, they've run several races for Quads (ATV's) but because they don't lean in the corners like the bikes, it's hard to get a shot which looks in any way "dramatic". Yesterday I took Dr. Ted's advice and shot "from the shadow side"... I thought this Quad shot turned out OK. http://www.furnfeather.net/Temps/IR-18.html C&C welcomed, as always.
