Douglas, Thanks, very nice photos, and I always enjoy your travelogs. Tangermünde certainly looks under developed, to say the least. THe town's architecture and walls remind me of Rothenburg ab du Tauber, where we spent a few pleasant days at a hotel that had been built into the city wall.
