I agree. I have the same lens, but I have a Rebel XTi, which is not up to the quality of view of your 5D. I would think getting the screens brightened would be even better. Depending on your eyes, and mine are 57 years old. It was timely for me as I was about to send my Canon 5D's EE-x focus screens off to Maxwell to get them brightened. Instead, I'll try the Nikon eyepiece. I love using the 35-70 R lens with that body, but it gets pretty dim to look through when I'm indoors. John On Nov 19, 2007, at 6:41 PM, Aram Langhans wrote: Hi Ed. I use the cheapest converter I could find with the focus confirmation chip and it works as good as expected. If you plan on using Leica lenses only, just leave it on the camera and mount and dismount your leica lens from the converter. If you plan on mixing lenses, I would recommend an adapter for each lens. Also, you need to get the Nikon (yes, Nikon) DK-21M eyepiece magnifier. It fits the EOS cameras and makes manual focusing much easier, which is helpful even with the focus confirmation chip. A must have for under $25. http://www.nikonusa.com/template.php?cat=1&grp=258&productNr=25339 Aram
