I sent the below message from my phone, but am resending it from my laptop, in
case the "from phone" version also got scrambled.
If nothing else, I will be home on Sunday, and the problem should then go away.

We are traveling so I am using my phone, which has no setting I can find to set
the outgoing messages to plain text. I suspect that is the problem.
