[LRflex] Eyepiece magnifier

Well, half of my "poor eye sight/viewfinder aids" has arrived. The Nikon
eyepiece magnifier fits the Canon Rebel XTi perfectly. I readjusted the
diopter setting and the tunnel vision effect of the small viewfinder is
gone. Nice large view and w/o glasses I can see all the screen and the
readout. Not sure with glasses as I don't use them except for close up
stuff. it sticks out about 0.5cm further than the OEM eyecup. While the
view is indeed larger and psychologically better, it is still not focusable
reliably for me. It just lacks any punch. There is no snap in and out of
focus like there is on my R8. So, I do recommend this magnifier to those
using the Canon produces (it only costs $25) but it alone did not solve my
problem. I await delivery of the EOS adapter with focus confirmation. The
person in China said it would take two weeks and it has only been one so
far.
