Hi David,
In an earlier post I mentioned some involvement in shooting some. However a
look in some old note books I had the good fortune to photograph a major amount
of 24 Sussex St. which is the home of the Prime Minister. Or will be again as
soon as all the revamp work that is in progress at the moment.
Maybe there's a new book when the building is completely re-vamped.
cheers,
ted

Subject: [LRflex] Re: Did Dr Ted Furnish The Photography For A 1982 Book On
Canadian Government Residencies?
Good Morning, Peter!
I've had the pleasure to know Ted for just over 20 years, and if my memory
serves me correctly, your Vintage Book Dealer was correct, and that "our" Ted
Grant is, indeed, one of the principal photographers for that book. |I do not
believe, however, that he was the only photographer.
I have heard Ted talk of this book, but there is nothing on his website about
it.
Ted, are you reading this. Can you confirm it for us?
David.
Good evening to all. Could someone here please either correct me or
confirm that Dr Ted was the photographer for the images in the 1982 book
about the Principal Residencies for the leaders of Canadian Government?
I heard today during a conversation with a vintage book dealer that a
Canadian gentleman had provided the photo work on this book and the
dealer thought his name was "Grant", but that was all he could recall.
We were talking about books that he had on offer of images of the US
Whitehouse taken by various Whitehouse staff photographers through the
decades and some of a few State houses and legislatures. Any
clarification that anyone knows would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Best regards,
Peter Stevens------
