Good evening, all! Well, I spent my day at the last day of Ice Racing, of the year, out at Stake Lake. I decided, once again, to attempt to master (Hah!) Dr. Ted's "Swishy Pan".... but thought I'd try something different. The first violation of Dr. Ted's rules was to position myself on a corner, so that I could capture the lean of the bikes. Then, I used "continuous focus", rather than zone focusing. In this way, I could track the bikes and get, I hoped, a better composition without having to accept the way they were when they came into focus. Failure rate was high, as always, but better than before. Things are slowly getting better! First results are here: http://www.furnfeather.net/Temps/Stake_17.html More to follow, I hope. C&C welcomed, as always. -- David Young - Photographer Logan Lake, CANADA Wildlife: www.furnfeather.net Personal: www.main.furnfeather.net A micro-lender through www.Kiva.org. ------ Unsubscribe or change to/from Digest Mode at: http://www.lrflex.furnfeather.net/ Archives are at: //www.freelists.org/archives/leicareflex/ ------ Unsubscribe or change to/from Digest Mode at: http://www.lrflex.furnfeather.net/ Archives are at: //www.freelists.org/archives/leicareflex/
