Good Afternoon, Peter!
I didn't realize that you were an astrophotographer. New hobby? Or, have you
been at it for yonks?
In my late teens (that's back when the earth was cooling) I hand ground both 6"
and 8" mirrors, as a hs astronomy club project, but never got round to
finishing the scope before I left school.
The Mead EXT-90 you have looks to be a nice bit of kit and I hear good things
about Meade. I never did get into night time observing, though I did acquire a
passion for shooting solar eclipses - 5 so far.
In that pursuit I've owned a number of catadioptric lenses, including an older
Celestron C-90 (no motor drive) Schmidt-Cassegrain, and a Russian MTO
(Maksutov-Cassegrain), before finally settling on a Nikon 500/8 Mirror lens
(with Leica-R mount!).
Will you show us some of your astro work? I, for one, would love to see it!
David.
Good morning to you all. I recently purchased some adapter kits for a------
Meade ETX 90 telescope from these folks, and I was impressed with their
quality and delivery, though in fairness they are only a couple of
counties to the south of me here in Florida in the city of Cape Coral.
If you ever need another source for hardware or just curious about their
inventory to mount a camera to a scope ya might just take a look.
Best regards,
Peter S.
