It hasn't been legal to run cattle on the public roads for decades.
But, two or three ranchers in all of BC are "grandfathered-in" and still retain
the rights to do so. One lives just down from us, by Mamette Lake.
Thus, in spring or fall, you can find yourself delayed, as we did, this morning.
It was only about a 10 minute delay, in all, and we enjoyed every minute of it.
Just not something most of us ever get to see.
