AH... the key is to decrease the red channel LOCALLY. I'll give that a try in
GIMP, as my regular software does not allow such local manipulations.
Thanks, Philippe, for the tip. Watch this space, for Erin 2.0!
David.
First one is fine - just decrease the red channel locally as the veins show a
little too much against the white of her eyes.

Last weekend, we attended the high-school graduation of our eldest grandson.
This young lady, an old friend and neighbour, was his "date" for the
festivities. The light was lousy (1/60th @ 1.8, ISO 800 with Oly's
75/1.8), but the shot was lucky.
My question: Is the first version (nearly the full frame) the best?

or the cropped version better?

Your thoughts appreciated, as both have there adherents, here.
I suspect it's very much a personal thing, but the almost f/f version has a
lot more atmosphere IMHO. It would have been interesting to see the
good-looking young lady without her glasses, as she's obviously taken a lot
of trouble over her eye makeup.
My two Euros.
