here), I’ll try to repost my settings and adjustments on the lug (gallery) on
Monday. Or at least the results on the moon shot (double sharpening, raw by
Howard, and then again by me on the exported jpeg).

I usually start in LR punching the auto tone button and then adjusting
exposure back from what comes up.Then I tweak
clarity and vibrance just a bit to give some pop to the photo - if required.
My sharpening technique has been to sharpen about 90% with a radius of 1.0. I
don't touch Detail or Masking. I rarely touched
noise reduction unless it was very high ISO (like 6400 on the Leica M10).
Philippe’s suggestions to me were as follows:
Sharpening Gain about 75%, Radius 0.7, Detail about 60 and Masking 13.
For noise reduction he suggested Luminance about 15 - 16 and Detail set
around 50.
Philippe worked on the ferry photos I recently posted and these settings
produced a clearly sharper image - impressively so -
without an increase in noise grain. So I will try to work with these sliders
in future development.
