I'd never met one of these dogs in person before. Cute little guy. No hair on the body, only on the head, feet and tail. His owner told me that he likes to pull blankets over himself, and sleeps in their bed.

E-510, 100/2.8 OM Zuiko (200mm equivalent)

My verdict on the manual focus lenses on this camera is that they are fun to play with, but very frustrating to try to do anything "real" with. Focusing on the stock viewfinder screen with the rather minified view is hit and miss. The manual lenses do work very nicely for static subjects, especially with magnified Live View. Assuming you can hold steady enough to focus, or are using a tripod, and that light isn't shining onto the LCD. At any rate, a 40-150 digital Zuiko lens for the 510 is on order.

No regrets on buying this camera--it's opened up some new possibilities for me. For telephoto and macro, an SLR is the right tool. But the M8 is so much better in the things it does best. And the M8 requires a lot less fidgety postprocessing to bring out the best in the images.
