However, the birding gods were smiling on me and there was Sheri and
Anthony! With their help we were able to see it!! Whoop whoop! He was a
pain to try to photograph especially since he is flying around on the golf
course! So far away. Ugh but I got a few. After S and A left I stayed
determined and freezing to find and possibly get a good photo. I finally
saw it on the trunk of a large oak near the fence line dividing the park
and the golf course. (Golf course side near the pond) I got 4 quick shots
and it was gone again! Never to be seen by my eyes again.
This park is really very nice considering it is in the middle of an oil
field!! I’ll add my pictures in a bit.

Is still at Yoakum county Park. It is visible from the paved road from
the park to the golf course clubhouse. It is feeding on pecans. DO NOT
walk on the golf course.
