I was there yesterday but didn’t see it. I checked through the finches that
I saw. I did have three townsends solitaires singing constantly but that
was about it as far as interesting things.

Greetings All:
Sheri Anderson obtained photographs of a female finch at the Morton
Cemetery this afternoon which (with a straight culmen, crisp streaking
on pale underparts) does not appear to be a House Finch. I haven't
had time to review the photographs carefully but the bird has a strong
facial pattern (evoking female Purple Finch) and a complete white
eyering (evoking Cassin's Finch). I will review photographs when a) I
have some time off and b) I am less tired.. We are planning a return
trip to Cochran County tomorrow but I thought that people might want
to be aware of finch potential at the Morton Cemetery.
Besides, Cochran County is underbirded - it deserves some of our love:)
