I know super excited. Thank you for the heads up. When I arrived I was
checking the water run off at the culvert and out flew not one but two
Cooper’s hawks! So I wasn’t expecting much!! But after about 15 mins I
found them feeding in the sun flowers right next to it. I saw 2
White-crowned sparrows eating alongside them as well as the Townsend’s
Solitaire. Then went back to the culvert and I saw 2 Hermit thrush and
then everything disappeared. Wasn’t sure if it was me...then I spied a cat
sitting in the bushes!
Interesting for sure. He was hunting so I scared him off. Two lifers
today!! Thanks again.

I went back to Clapp after school. I didn’t see the White-throatedKassie
Sparrow this time, but I was only there for a few minutes. I did see a
late Painted Bunting also at culvert 2.
