Also saw my FOS chimney swifts this evening. About six, in two flyovers.
And LOTS of waxwings, by the measure of recent years. I estimate 100+, divvied
up over the course of an hour in flocks of 6 to 25.
Also something I can't put a name on. It appeared to be a female brown-headed
cowbird; I don't know if they're around this time of year. Busy high up in the
oak tree, and followed by a blue jay that was harassing it. Do blue jays know
what cowbirds are up to? Very drab, short tail with squared end, darkish
blackbird/oriole kind of beak, faint streaks on breast, and a hint of markings
on the head, like an eyebrow. Observed for several minutes, but high up in the
oaks, and flitting about a lot--so I can't be too sure about the head markings.

Earlier this evening, Sunday, we saw 2 Inca Doves in the street in front of
the house, unusual. This afternoon, a Mourning Dove ventured into the backyard.
It did not stick around long, too many Collared and White-winged. About
11:00am, Dupree Park pond had 2 Great Egrets and about 10 Snowey
Egrets.Yesterday, Saturday, we were surprised to see a Canada Goose on the
north side of Dupree Park pond, along with a Great Egret and 4 Snowey Egrets.
