Good eye, Rob:
I think that the bird Rob picked out is probably a first fall female
MacGillivray's Warbler. I am a bit confused by how little gray there
is in the throat and breast (but the warbler guides suggest that this
is consistent with a first fall female MacGillivray's Warbler) and a
bit more put off by the presence of white in the belly (which should
be shown by neither species) but the bill does seem large, the dark
eye stripe is thick and prominent, and an Orange-crowned Warbler with
that much gray in the throat would probably be gray, rather than
yellow, breasted. The yellow on the underparts is the sunny yellow
associated with MacGillivray's Warbler rather than the greenish yellow
associated with MOST Orange-crowned Warblers. I am with Rob on this:
