Kassie,
Typically, you’ll be able to see Wood Ducks at Elmore through the winter.
Usually 10-15 present at Elmore all winter. They like the habitat of the roots
at the rookery. They were particularly social today. Very unusual to get that
close. It was a treat.
Let me know if you need any help locating them.

Omg I would love to see the bobcat.
We were out there last Sunday and saw a very emaciated fox. He was skin and
bones heading to the water. We also saw 50 sandhill cranes flying over.
So, do wood ducks migrate thru? I guess what I’m asking is will there be
more moving in? Such beautiful ducks. I want to be sure to get some
pictures at some point.

1 Burrowing Owl (on a mesquite branch)
1 Great Blue Heron
1 adult Bobcat with 1-3 kittens tucked away in the tall grass for safety
(visible). She was crossing the road, probably in search of food but
returned to her kittens due to people passing by.
