During migration, Rock Wrens will be found away from typical habitats. That’s
true of many species. Apparently the first Palm Warbler described for science
was shot out of a palm tree, even though they’re seldom seen in palm trees.
Habitat is a good clue for identification, it just breaks down some during
migration.

That’s what I thought! I went back and forth. I’ve seen a number of Rock
Wrens. When I first saw this bird, I thought, Rock Wren. Then, I
second-guessed myself due to where I saw it. Thank you for commenting,
Phillip!

The cutest House Wren was foraging in my wildflower bed this morning. Lots
of bird activity in the backyard early to mid-morning.
