Your morning is more than my entire yard list started in April. I clearly
need to be spending more time in the backyard with coffee and paper.

Hi All.
Birding was outstanding this morning in my backyard. I went out to drink
coffee and read the morning paper, but the birds were extremely active. In
little over an hour I had 27 species! This inludes the Anna’s Hummingbird, and
Rufous and Black-chinned Hummingbirds. Other unusual birds were two Western
Tanagers, one Brown Thrasher, one Spotted Towhee, one White-crowned Sparrow (I
hardly ever get this one as a yard bird), and a flyover Prairie Falcon.
Multiple Orange-crowned Warblers, saw four at one time, one Wilson’s Warbler
and one Yellow-rumped Warbler were also seen.
Needless to say, little of the paper was read! Below is the complete listing I
posted on eBird.
Good Birding!
