Yay!!! Congratulations on your new sightings! Those are gorgeous pics!!! I love
the one of the Sora peeking out from behind the reeds. Beautiful lighting and
composition in all of them. Your Harrier is a male transitioning into adult
plumage...the males are also known as Grey Ghosts...a name I love and that
suites them well. Can’t wait to see them silently gliding over a field soon...

Hi all, I have been subscribed to this list since the September bird walk,
but this is my first time posting. I am relatively new to birding, and got
into it because of wildlife photography. This evening, I went to a field near
my house, located off of Indiana between 141th st. and 135th st. Notable
sightings included a Sora, which was my first time seeing one, a Northern
Harrier, an American Kestrel, and a flock of Sandhill Cranes flying south
(also my first time seeing them. I am excited to see them a bit closer up).
