Both the Lewis’s Woodpecker and the female type Phainopepla continued at
their respective locations in Plains, TX today.
I got scared, but the woodpecker took about an hour to show up where it
finally went to the little pecan tree on the golf course for a few minutes
before flying somewhere near the club house.
The Phainopepla was in the juniper type trees on the North side of Stanford
park. It was hanging out with cedar waxwings, robins, and Townsend’s
Solitaires.
