Greetings All:
After reviewing Sheri Anderson's photographs from yesterday and giving
consideration to the brief looks I got at the birds in person today, I
sent the photographs to a very reputable regional reviewer for
scrutiny. Sheri was leaning Cassin's Finch, I was leaning
towardsCassin's Finch, and the reviewer confirmed our leanings.
Sheri Anderson had three female Cassin's Finches at the Morton
Cemetery in Cochran County yesterday; at least two of the birds were
still present this morning!
We also had a Brown Creeper and a Gray Catbird in a woodlot north of
Bledsoe and five Western Bluebirds in Bledsoe - despite the wind, it
was pretty good day for Cochran County; one of our more difficult
counties with regard to birding.
