Took an opportunity to take a look at this TPWD sponsored birding site located
at a water treatment facility in Andrews TX. For fun, I thought I’d share a few
highlights of the outing:

1 Black-throated Gray Warbler
3 Northern Flickers
1 Hermit Thrush
3 Northern Harriers
1 Dark-eyed Junco

Savannah Sparrows, Lincoln’s Sparrows, and countless other Sparrows everywhere.

Large groups of Yellow-headed Blackbirds and Red-winged Blackbirds.

Pine Siskin and other Finch galore.

Various waterfowl on all of the bodies of water.

Truthfully, birds were plentiful and it was time well spent.

Just wanted to share in the event you find yourself in Andrews. A nice surprise!
