There's a roosting site for Robins, or was, somewhere in those mazy streets
between Quaker, Indiana, 50th St, and the loop. I don't know if it's still a
site for them, or will be this winter. My partner in the CBC a couple years
ago lived near there, and I forget how many hundreds or thousands he recorded.
From my perspective, routinely in winter in the daytime there's a flock around
Tech Terrace Park, numbering anywhere from a dozen to a hundred. But in the
evening, if you look up from Tech Terrace you'll see robins flying southwest,
toward that site. I've been observing it lately.
This is a conversation starter; I'm sure there are those among us with more
accurate figures and locations.

recent comment about seeing Robins at Clapp Park. There were a large number.
There have been more Robins in my backyard this summer and early autumn than I
can remember. Has this been common around town? At times there are four or
five Robins in the bird baths with more waiting to hop in. This usually occurs
around 5:30-6:30. They appear at other times, but not in such large numbers.
Thanks for any comments,Tess
