Haven’t been out to the 103rd playa in a while cause I assumed it was dried
up, but there’s still a bit of water out here. Saw some green winged teals
and a pintail, other unidentifiable ducks (they were on the north side and we
were on the south), 2 non-breeding avocets, a bunch of small doves, a
Wilson’s snipe, and a bunch of small brownish birds that were running around
the opposite shore (not hopping). Pipits maybe? Anyway, hoping to come back
tomorrow with a spotting scope.
