March Meeting

I just posted the announcement for our March meeting to the
http://hubcitynug.org website. This is the first month we will be holding
our meeting @ the Deloitte offices here in Hattiesburg. Unfortunately,
anyone who attends will have to listen to me (Anson) speak ;-) . Anyway,  I
really am hoping for a great turnout this month. We have some new prizes to
give away (.Net training from Pluralsight and Tekpub), and the new venue
should be much easier to get in and out of. Thanks again to Deloitte for
hosting, and I look forward to seeing you there.

MVVM Made Easy With Caliburn.Micro

With more and more of Microsoft’s development stack moving to XAML based
technologies (WPF, Silverlight, and WP7), developers are looking for ways to
be more productive in these areas. One pattern that has emerged is the
Model-View-ViewModel (MVVM) UI pattern. In this talk we will see a brief
overview of the MVVM pattern and see how the Caliburn.Micro library can save
you from some of the pain points typically associated with it.
