Friends,
One of the activities during Sunday morning's Christmas Celebration is
focused on our preschool and elementary age young Friends. We will have a
manger scene set up in the Meeting Room and, at the appropriate time, ask
the kids to come sit in the middle of the room.
We would like them to bring a special stuffed animal from home who can be
left (temporarily) by the baby Jesus when they come forward. The kids will
then sing the song "The Friendly Beasts," led by Steve Woodbury. After
that, David Henderson will read the kids a Christmas-themed story. When
that's done, they (and their stuffed animal) can return to their parents.
We will bring a few extra stuffed animals to the celebration for any young
Friends that forgot theirs, or who cannot bear to part with them
temporarily.
