Urge your legislator to support paid sick days (again)!

| SB 481, sponsored by Senator Favola (D-Arlington), would provide up to 5 days
or 40 hours of paid sick time to employees each year.Our paid sick days bill
passed both the House and the Senate last week and was sent to a conference
committee, where they work out the nitty gritty details. Theconference
committee has now finished their report and the Senate and the House will vote
on the bill this week. We are so close to establishing a paid sick day standard
in Virginia, which would make Virginia the first state in the South to do so.
But we need you to ask your legislators to support SB 481, for the final time,
before the bill heads to the Governor's desk! |
