Abolitionist Lucretia Mott Faced Southern Lawmakers 175 Years Ago in a
Historic Speech At First Unitarian Church, DC (now All Souls) Please join
the All Souls Unitarian Archives Committee on Sunday, January 28, at 1:15 pm to
hear journalist and Mott expert Jamie Stiehm trace the arc of the Quaker
woman’s words in a divided city. Ralph Waldo Emerson was at First Unitarian
that winter night and helps tell the story. All Souls is located at 1500
Harvard Street, NW, Washington, DC 20009. Refreshments will be provided. More
