I birded Perkins, Cantrell, Nielsen, Meadowlark and Euphoria this morning,
joined for most of that time by Tye Jeske, Josh Galpern and their
long-suffering parents. Good variety at Perkins, over 50 species, not big
numbers but sizable groups of tanagers and Warbling Vireos. Very few warblers
except a few Wilson's. I was surprised to have zero empids.
Highlights included four orioles at Perkins, Red-necked Phal at the gate
viewpoint on Cantrell and at Meadowlark corner and three Solitary Sandpipers at
Euphoria scrape.
