The small vernal pond at Stewart and Bertelsen had very few birds in it
today. One Solitary Sandpiper at the far northern edge with five
long-billed dowitchers were discernible through a scope. Two Least
Sandpipers, one Spotty and a couple of Killdeer made up the rest of the
group.
