We had six or more Purple Martins active around a nest hole site in the
hills behind LCC. The nest hole is in one of the big wooden utility
structures near a high point in the hills. A pair of martins were
sticking their heads in the hole and others were chattering nearby. A
second hole, a little larger, was being eyed by a Starling.
