I checked with Sayre Greenfield, who kept almost daily records in Amazon in the
early 1970s. I went often and later did a more formal study there. Neither of
us ever had a bunting there.

remember ever hearing/seeing one there in my experience - once every month or
two for 20 years. A Red-shouldered Hawk chased one out of a treetop.
