Tamara, Kari, and I are reaching out regarding three quick "end of year"
logistics and questions:
- Our Meeting Time: Does our current meeting day and time (2nd Fridays each
month at 1230-130pm PT / 330-430pm ET) still work for you? Please let us know
using this very short one question poll by next Wednesday 12/7.
- Deleting Slack: We recommend that we delete Slack due to very low usage. We
have a listserv that could serve this function. Also, Slack policy changes
mean with a free account we can no longer access messages older than 90 days,
which means Slack has lost the benefit of providing a free archival record of
messages. If you want to make a case for keeping Slack, please come out to
our Dec 9th meeting next week to discuss or let us know via email by that
same date.
- Strategic Visioning 2023: At the past few LAC calls we've discussed the
possibility of strategic visioning for 2023. This is in response to several
reflections amongst our collective including:
- What kind of space and community do we want build?
- What needs can we help meet (resources, support, etc)
- What change do we want to contribute to?
- How do we hold space for the logistical (e.g., conference planning)—and
reflective and political (e.g., topic discussions)?
- Who isn’t here and should be? What parts of the story and wisdom are we
missing due to who is not here?
- Anyone interested in thought partnering with us on 2023 strategic visioning
planning, please email to let us know by next Friday Dec 9th.
